A milestone for the Mid-Atlantic/Southeast Region (MASE) -- more than half of the locals/districts represented at the Feb 19-20 conference were represented by labor/management teams as MASE continued the focus on teacher effectiveness. 

Austin, TX (Feb 9-11, 2012) ~ 50 union and district leaders from Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, and Nebraska participated in the Southwest TURN meeting to continue learning from each other regarding their respective efforts to recommit to building labor-management relationships, rethink the use of time, and to re-frame the reform messages around the theme of Results for Students.

Boston, MA (Feb 3, 2012) ~ It was the largest turnout ever for Northeast TURN, as 85 participants focused on three areas of high interest to the region: teacher evaluation, labor-management relationships, and transforming teaching.
