
Teacher Appraisal & Evaluation
Four TURN regions are activity engaged in one or more aspect of teacher appraisal system improvement:
- Shaping Policy - Southwest TURN is leading in the effort define acceptable multiple measures and to develop effective messages and strategies for working with policy-makers on the topic of teacher evaluation.
- Affecting Practice: Local Level - Great Lakes TURN is facilitating local partnerships between unions and districts to develop effective teacher appraisal systems.
- Affecting Practice: State Level - Northeast TURN is engaging state level leaders in conversations to support the development and implementation of effective teacher appraisal systems.
- Viewing all Perspectives - the Mid-Atlantic/Southeast TURN (MASE) has assembled a series of panels (representing national, regional, & state perspectives) to inform local leaders of issues related to teacher effectiveness as well as the organizational context of teaching & learning.
